Passed away in Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital on Thursday morning, August 3rd
Mourned by her husband Bill Armstrong
Her mother Mrs. Olive Sadler and her late husband Frederick Morrison Sadler of Fitzroy Harbour and her brother Donald Sadler and partner Lou Ann Barnett of Windsor Ontario
She will also be sadly missed by her niece Tanya Sadler, recently returned from teaching in Thailand and by her nephew Jeff Sadler of Windsor Ontario
Nancy will be fondly remembered by all her many relatives and friends in The Ottawa valley and across Canada
Nancy was born in Montreal and grew up and attended school in Cobden Ontario
She graduated from the University of Waterloo with a BA and together with an Ontario teachers certificate, taught school for a year in Elmira Ontario
In 1973 she moved to Yellowknife N.W.T. where she worked with the Territorial Planned Parenthood Association and later joined the federal government as Executive Assistant to the Regional Director of Resources
Later in her career she worked with the federal Department of the Environment in Vancouver B.C. and for 20 years with various departments of the Government of Saskatchewan in Regina
Most recently she was associated with the department of Citizenship and Immigration in Ottawa Nancy left a string of flower gardens across Canada that will be forever be the envy of her neighbours
Nancy traveled widely and spent time in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South America
