Bernard Vance Bernie Bedore, Creator of Canadas Gentle Giant Big Joe Mufferaw joined his beloved wife Vera (Lewis) of 62 years after a very brief time apart on Tuesday June 17, 2008 in Renfrew Victoria Hospital, Renfrew Ontario
Bernie will remain a legendary storyteller, poet and Ottawa Valley historian, His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew him
In his 86th year, Bernie was the last surviving son of the late Delorme and Catherine Bedore of Arnprior and the last surviving brother of Glenford ( killed in action WW II), Marjorie, Denelda (Nella), Clifford (Duffy), Maxford (Maxie) and Corrine
It is with great sadness that we his children Vance Bedore (Cathy) of Pembroke, Judy Bedore (Ernie) of Arnprior and Mark Bedore of Carleton Place bid farewell to our exceptional father
He will never be forgotten and always loved by his five grandchildren, Sara Hulan, Ian, Jenna, Jacob Bedore and Jolan Kalio
