Dorothy passed away peacefully in Arnprior Hospital on Tuesday December 23, 2008 at the age of 87 with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Rev. Ralph Simmons (September 23, 2007). Dear mother of David Simmons, Janet (Keith) Sennett, Carolyn (Dennis) Croteau, Jolene (Tim) Carmichael and Barbara (Randy) Fraser. Proud grandmother of Christine, Carrie, Christopher, Kendra, Chelsey, Tory, Meghan, Kyla and Coty and great grandmother of Alexis and Kyah. Survived by her sister Celina and brother Robert. She will be greatly missed by family members and so many friends whose lives and hearts she touched. Respecting Dorothys wishes, there will be no visitations. A private family interment will take place in Ottawa at a later date. In memoriams to The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family
