Elsie went home to be with the Lord at The Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior on Tuesday April 7, 2009 in her 94th year. Predeceased by her first husband Fred Hartwick in 1952 and by a second marriage to Lester Kargus who passed away in 1994. Dear mother of Gary (Judy) Hartwick and Liz Isabelle Kargus and son in law William J. Lairar all of Arnprior. Survived by 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Robert (June) Remus, Julius (Rhona) Remus. Henry (Darlene) Ramus and Eva Bradimore. Sister in law of Ruth Remus. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John Remus and Alvine (Hartwick) Remus, her brothers Lester and Wilfred Remus and her 2 stillborn sons.

Friends may pay their respects on Saturday April 11, 2009 after 10: a.m. A celebration of Elsies life will be held on Saturday April 11, 2009 at 11: a.m. in The First Baptist Church, 279 Alicia Street, Arnprior. Pastor Lee Dyck officiating. Interment Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery. Donations in memory of Elsie may be made to The Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior.
