Peacefully at Cornwall Hospice with her family by her side on Sunday February 7, 2010, formerly of Arnprior in her 91st year. Beloved wife for 56 years of the late Sid Hoad (February 7, 1997). Dearly devoted Mom to Carroll Olivier (Doug) of Sudbury and Penny Grace (Norm) of Cornwall. Predeceased by her son Jack. Grammie (Great Grammie) will be sadly missed by her 6 grandchildren and her 9 great grandchildren: Dave and his 2 children Cody and Shelby; Terri (Marc) and their 3 children Brady, Brock and Ashley; Lori (Shawn) and their 2 children Jarrod and Kaydon; Jennifer (Bill) and their 2 children Brant and Keaton; Robert (Stacy) and Ted. Survived by one brother Arthur Wendt of Sarnia as well as nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John and Della (Cameron) Wendt. Predeceased by 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

A celebration of Rachels life will be celebrated on Wednesday February 10, 2010 after 1: p.m. until time of service in The Boyce Chapel at 2: p.m.
Intermet Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Cornwall Hospice, 1507 Second Street W. Cornwall, Ontario K6J 1J5 would be greatly appreciated by her family.
