Mrs. Marcella MacLellan aged 97 years passed away on Monday July 4, 2011 at Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 19, 1914 at New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. She was the daughter of the late Alex and Anne Beaton who later moved to Stellarton, Nova Scotia. She was a charter member of the Catholic Womens League of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Stellarton and was also active in the Blood Donor Clinic, Red Cross Society, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Girl Guide Association and was a director of the seniors group and line dancing group while living in Stellarton. She married the late Lawrence MacLellan and after his death in December of 1995 she moved to Arnprior in November 1996 to be nearer her family. In Arnprior she belonged to St. John Chrysostom Parish and the C.W.L. and also the Golden Valley Seniors and 707 Senior groups. She is survived by four children: JoAnne Bretzlaff (Lorne) of Arnprior, Paula Dumbrell (Charles) of San Diego, California, Lauren Stolley (Howard) of Ottawa and Alex MacLellan (Heather) of Prescott. Survived by grandchildren: Lee Anne McDonald, Keri Pulido (Gabriel), Seanna Callaghan (John), Jeffrey Dumbrell (Stephanie), Graham and Gillian Stollery, Andrew, Ashley and Tiffany MacLellan. Predeceased by a grandson Philip McDonald and a granddaughter Kimberley MacLellan who died in infancy. Survived by great grandchildren: Brendan Woodley, Kyle Jamison, Melissa, Elian and Nicholas Pulido, Molly, Charles and Harry Callaghan and Caroline and Charlotte Dumbrell. Predeceased by her seven brothers: Robert, Rob, David, Joe, Ray, Very Rev. Father Alexander and Clement.

Thursday evening 7 p.m. 9 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Friday July 8, 2011 at 10: a.m.
The body will be cremated and interred at a later date in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Stellarton, Nova Scotia.
In remembrance donations to St John Chrysostom memorial Fund or Arnprior Hospital appreciated by her family.
