Obituary of Thomas Gardiner

Gardiner, Thomas “Francis” January 19, 1926—September 21, 2013 Passed away in Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Saturday morning, Francis Gardiner of Galetta in his 88th year, beloved husband of the late Katherine Brydges. Francis was a Bell Canada Pioneer retiring after 38 years of service and was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge for 60 years and the Eastern Star. Dear father of Bill (Judy), Myrtle (Fern) Chartier, Bert (Angela), David (Theresa) and Gary (Tammy). Predeceased by a son in law Hugh McKerracher, 2 grandchildren and great grandson Karter. Much loved grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Kenneth (Lorena) Gardiner, Saidee (late Ken) Dowdall and Thelma (late Mel) Dowdall. Dear brother-in-law of Keith (late Mary), Kenneth (Dorene), late Isabel (Carmen) James, late Robert and Ivan, Mary (late Armour) Howie, Marion (late Graham) Armstrong, the late Cecil (Shirley), Gordon (Lydia), the late Edith (John) Campbell and Grace (late Sterling) Howie. Son of the late Oliver and Marion Gardiner. Resting at The Boyce Funeral Home, Chapel, Visitation and Reception Centre 138 Daniel St. N., Arnprior where friends and family can pay their respects on Sunday evening 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.. Funeral service in the Boyce Chapel Tuesday September 24 at 11:00 am with Canon Roger Young officiating. Luncheon to follow in the Boyce Reception Centre. Interment St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, Innisville. Masonic Service Monday at 6:15 p.m. followed by an Eastern Star Service.
