Obituary of Raymond Arnold Buttler

Buttler, Raymond Arnold April 18, 1922- March 10, 2005 CWO RCAF (Ret'd) CD 2 Bars 1941-1975 Royal Canadian Legion Branch 174 after a brief illness, Ray Butler of White Lake Ontario passed away at The Ottawa General Hospital in his 83rd year, beloved husband for 61 years of Mary (MacKenzie), proud father of Terry (Sharron) and Barry (Margaret) of Ottawa and Sandra (Brad) Busch of Mississauga, devoted grandfather to Jennifer, Adam, Matthew, Kelly Rae, Steven and Samantha, predeceased by his brother, Lance, survived by his sister Eileen Wilson of Victoria B.C. and brother Aubry (Bob) of Edmonton Alberta, loved uncle to many nieces and nephews, Born in Port Carling Ontario to the late Reginald and Elizabeth (Ewing) Buttler, Ray enlisted in the RCAF in 1941 and served in France, Germany, Washington D.C. and numerous postings across Canada during his 33 years in the RCAF, upon his retirement from the RCAF in 1975, Ray worked for the Canadian Department of Communications in Ottawa until his retirement in 1982, since then, he has spent his summers in White Lake and his winters in Bradenton, Florida, pursuing his passions of golf and fishing with his wife, Mary. he will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends he has made over the years, Resting at The Boyce Funeral Home Ltd 138 Daniel Street N. Arnprior where friends may pay their respects on Friday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, funeral service will be conducted in The Boyce Chapel on Saturday March 12, 2005 at 2: pm with Rev Dr Richard Hollingsworth officiating, cremation to follow with a spring interment in White lake Community Cemetery, donations to The Canadian Cancer Society appreciated by his family, Royal Canadian Legion Service Friday evening at 6: 45 pm at the funeral home
