Obituary of Ronald James Cooksley

Cooksley, Ronald James December 14, 1924 - October 3, 2015 Passed away peacefully in the early morning hours at the Grove Nursing Home, Arnprior Saturday October 3, 2015 at the age of 90 years. Ronald is predeceased by his beloved wife Lucille Emily Cooksley (June 25, 2015). Dear father of David and Bruce (Myrna-Jane). Much loved grandfather of Tyler, Zachary, Storm and Keagan. Cherished great-grandfather of Zander. Predeceased by his brother Irwin Cooksley and his sisters Jane and Bette. Son of the late Charles and Gertrude (nee Irwin) Cooksley. Ronald was an avid curler and outdoorsman. He belonged to the “Arnprior Hunt Club” with his fellow hunters and would hunt up at the camp in Calabogie. Ron and Lucille were married in the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Arnprior and remained active members throughout the years. He was a member of Madawaska Masonic Lodge # 196 Arnprior and was a member of the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital Board of Directors. Arrangements by the Boyce Funeral Home, Chapel, Visitation and Reception Centre. Funeral Service will take place Thursday October 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Rev. David Hooper officiating. Interment Flat Rapids Cemetery. In memoriams to the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by his family.
