another dear lady of Fitzroy harbour has left us, proud mother of those 6 boys, as her dear hubby had listed 'proud father of six sons'....at Whyte;s cemetery. Jean was an upbeat mom to all, and to all her dear friends...a constant smile, ready for a joke or two. as past president myself at the seniors club there, always getting to their fun get-togethers. Terry's taken over so many kind duties here and there in the Harbour, and I visited them at the welcoming home there they'd shared for years.
...couldn't wait for Jean to come in at the meetings to, if I played the old piano now and then there, she brought the best home-made 'tomato' surprise dish : always wondered were there any seconds left in that pan...'no', was the answer, and no wonder:
..as both Terry and mom always asked me what I was up to in the art world, they had so many personal life stories to share.
...all the children, grandchildren will be mourning her loss, but know they were blessed with such a mom, granny, great grannie. I'll be making a memorium to St. George's Anglican Church, with love, Norma Dixon
