Obituary of Garfield (Gary) Lloyd Scobie

“The Scob”               

1947-2016                    

Gary passed away peacefully on August 31, 2016 at his home in Sebring Florida after a lengthy illness.  Beloved husband of Karen Scobie (nee Nicholas).  Loving father of Teri Dee Landess (Frank) of Florida and step-father to Lisa Swant and Kaylie Taylor, both of Ottawa.  Cherished grandfather of Lexi and Cassidy Landess. Dear brother of Beverley Bigelow (Dennis White), (late Richard) of Arnprior and George Scobie of Dartmouth.  Predeceased by his brother Thomas.  Son of the late Lloyd and Christina Scobie.  Gary will be greatly missed by both the Scobie and Nicholas families as well as his friends in Ontario, Canada and Sebring, Florida.   Family and friends are invited to share memories of Gary during a Celebration of His Life Saturday May 27, 2017 at the Masonic Hall, 31 James Street, Arnprior, Ontario K7S 1C9 from 1-4 p.m.  Memorial donations may be made in his honour to Libra Senior Care, Palliative Care Services, Unit 62, 2420 Bank Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1V 8S1 or to the charity of your choice.
