I wanted to share a message and some very special memories I shared with Tyler. Although I only met and knew Tyler for a short time (2007), just knowing him had an impact on my life as it did in others. It could have been the connection on the nerd level, our love for poker, Pink Floyd, fast cars, and food. Tyler taught more than I ever thought possible about audio. I repaid him with my secret Rib recipe. That's how things went. From dog sitting Biggie and having Tyler involved and at my wedding in 2009.
My two regrets are as follows..... Only now (2020) becoming aware of Tyler's passing and missing out on his last year with us. Life is cruel sometimes and it steals away the good people far too soon. Tyler you are missed. Shine on you crazy Diamond!

Ty,
I just want to send you a message to let you know you have not drifted from my mind or heart. I often stop and think of you and the memories we shared. So many things remind me of our time together and I thank you for guiding me to the road I am now travelling, challenges and all. To this day, I still have many moments of tears, but then those tears are replaced with smiles or laughter when I think about our time together and the silliness we used to get up to. I still make your ribs often and they are a big hit! I'm also finally learning to ice skate, although I'm not very good at it :)
I don't think I will ever be able to forget you and I don't want to, so visit me often, okay?
Always in my memories, heart, and mind. xoxo

Today marks 1 year since you were taken from this world and not a day goes by that I do not stop and think about you. Despite all the turmoil I have suffered since your death, my memory of you and the good times we shared has not faltered. I miss seeing your face every day and hearing your stories. I miss doing all the fun things we used to do and being in awe of your intellect. But I know you have been watching over me, I feel your presence when I'm going through a rough time and it is comforting. Wherever you are, I hope you are dancing and smiling :)
Always in my heart and thoughts xoxo

I met Tyler through our DIY Audio Ottawa get togethers, where we shared interest in listening to music and the DIY equipment that was built for that purpose. Tyler brought a lot of enthusiasm and knowledge to our group and innovative little projects that he built. We'll miss seeing him and sharing with him.

I never knew Tyler, but grew up with his Dad, and good times with his Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Doris. His Uncle Keith told me wonderful accolades of Tyler's life and accomplishments. I wish I had known him. The imprint he left of his life obviously is huge ! How wonderful the memories you have to share.

To Shannelle, Penny and Gary, Tanya and all the rest of Tyler's family and friends, Tyler was a big part of Chris' life for so many years. I marvelled at all he did was determined to do regardless of how difficult it might be for him. He was a very talented young man even way back in the days of Pinecrest. I shall never forget his 'action shot' of the tornado that passed through the county. He and Chris spent at lot of time with each other as kids. Our sincerest condolences to all of you. May you be granted all you stand in need of in the days, weeks, months and years ahead. Draw strength from each other and from all your wonderful memories of this awesome individual that has enriched so many lives. Lynda and Bill

We were so sorry to hear of Tyler's passing. He was such a fun-loving spirit.
I remember his cackles as he "helped" Tanya and I to play Barbies, or as he and Aaron went careening up the hall at Pinecrest. And then there was the time a decade or so later when Pictionary went wildly awry at Sherbourne and Wellesley and we laughed so hard that he cried and I hit the floor. He was always welcoming to the tag along kid sister of his pal and in fact to anyone who was on the periphery.
Shanelle, Mr and Mrs Elliott, Tanya, Jim and family- we are thinking of you.

I'm so terribly sorry for your loss. While I didn't work with Tyler directly, we shared a love of sci-fi and fantasy books and engaged in many animated critiques of our favourite authors. His courage, strength and outlook impacted so many of us fighting our own battles. I hope that, with time, knowing that simply by being himself he had a huge positive effect on those lucky enough to know him will bring you some comfort.

Dear Tyler's family & friends,
I used to work with Ty and at the end of each day he would ask me to drive his motorized wheelchair back into the building and say, "Judi, try not to hit the door opening and walls on the way back to my desk". lol
Tyler had one of the most positive funny attutudes and treated everyone with love and respect. Wish I would have taken you up on that offer to go off-roading with you even though I said no way I'm going anywhere with you driving. We had a lot of laughs together. He had such a great sense of humour. I'll miss that.
So many memories which we need to cherish. I thank God for memories and I know Tyler is now at peace with our Lord.
We will miss him dearly and always have our special memories to be able carry on.
Love you Tyler.
I'll miss you my friend.

To Shanelle & the entire Elliott Family. Please accept my sincerest condolences on the sudden loss of Tyler. I am the receptionist at QNX and had the pleasure of seeing Tyler everyday coming through the front doors. Tyler was nothing but a gentleman with a extremely witty and funny sense of humor.
I will miss coffee chats with him at the reception desk. Tyler always had an uncanny way of making things that seemed difficult a breeze from which I will miss terribly..
It comforts me to know Tyler can travel wherever and whenever ever he wants now..
God Bless you Tyler & Thanks for the memories!!
