Jane Theaker

1939-2018

Born in Brampton, Ontario to parents John and Dorothy Gray and step mother Jean Gray.  Jane attended Nursing College in Guelph and went on to have a long enjoyable career in nursing from operating rooms to maternity to palliative care, yet she valued her family and friends most of all.  She will be remembered for her remarkable spirit, her unfaltering optimism and extraordinary joy of living.

Jane was the best of company-articulate, witty, wise, generous and so very kind.  Her pleasures included literature, playing piano, singing, baking pies, shopping, playing cards, coffee with friends and most of all helping other people.  She lived every day as we all wish we could-fully, happily and thankfully.

Jane will be hugely missed by her family, Richard (Hengameh Arshibeklash), Daniel, Kristi (Jeff Fulford), Jennifer and late infant son Christopher.  She was “Grandma Jane” to Simon, Kaelan, Megan, Dante and Connor. She will also be dearly missed by her brother Bill (Ethyle) Gray of Oakville, late sister Linda Masson of Edmonton and brother Tim (Sandra) Gray of Guelph as well as many nieces and nephews.  The family sincerely thanks Dr. Schriver and the nursing staff at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital for their excellent care.

Arrangements by the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior.  Visitations will be held Wednesday September 12, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Memorial Service Thursday September 13, 2018 at the Boyce Chapel at 11:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Diamondview Cemetery, Kinburn. In lieu of flowers, please consider random acts of kindness or a donation to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
