On behalf of Edith Rankin Memorial United Church, and specifically from myself, it is with the greatest sympathy that I send these condolences to you.
I was able to get to know Rita while doing pastoral visiting for Edith Rankin and I enjoyed my visits with her. Rita was a very spiritual person. She liked to read the daily meditations I gave to her and was happy to talk about her faith, choir, and her loves. Please know that she thought very highly of her family and enjoyed the phone calls from those who were far away. This lovely lady will be missed by all.
Please know that Edith Rankin Memorial United Church is still available for family members if you need visiting or counselling.
In sympathy, Elizabeth Amirault. Minister of Pastoral Care, Edith Rankin Memorial United Church.

My dear Stewart family I’m so sorry for your loss!
From music around the fire to skidoo rides with the cutter to hypnotizing boys around the fire. All memories filled with making sourcrout to crab apple jelly mocha cakes and sunday dinners of organs I didn’t want to know I was having.
And then the time she picked me up from the arena in Richmond and waived her heat from the seat...
Rita you were my second mom I chose to raise my family in Stittsville with the foundation you shared love you always. Peace be with you I hope your having a bonfire with Lorne and dad!!! Love to all the family xoxo
