With sadness we announce that Don passed away peacefully at Almonte Country Haven Thursday August 1^st, 2019, just one day shy of his 87^th birthday. Don Heath, born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, formerly of Huntingdon Quebec and long-time resident of Arnprior, Ontario.   Predeceased by his wife June Heath, parents Ivan and Mary (Stark) Heath and brother Loren Heath. Will be sadly missed by his partner and best friend of 13 years, Sheila Semon and her children Heidi (John) and Andrew (Joan).  Dearly loved and respected father of Christine Heath (Kevin Duff) and Jeff Heath (Lynn).  Cherished and proud grandfather of Douglas (Brea) and Deanna (Sue) Duff, Jessica (Matt), Emma and Grace Pettigrew, and Jordan and Deena Freemont.  Loving great-grandfather of Oliver, Max and Kaya.   Don was an avid golfer, all-around sportsman and number 1 Sens Fan.  He was a member of the Arnprior Legion Branch # 174, Arnprior Curling Club and the Golden Valley Seniors Club.  He will be remembered for his love of travel with family and friends and his big smile and lighthearted manner. The family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Almonte Country Haven for their wonderful care of Don.  Visitation will take place at the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior Thursday August 15^th, 2019 between the hours of 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.  In keeping with Don’s wishes there will not be a formal service.  Members of the Arnprior Legion Branch #174, will assemble at the funeral home Thursday evening at 6:45 p.m.   Interment will take place Wednesday August 21^st, 2019 at Huntingdon Protestant Cemetery, 78 Francois Cleyn Street, Huntingdon, Quebec at 12 noon.  For those wishing, a donation in Don’s memory can be made to the Almonte Country Haven, 333 Country Street, Almonte, Ontario.
