Obituary of Walter Johnston

Peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday evening, December 4, 2019; Walter Johnston of Arnprior, Ontario at the age of 88.  Beloved husband of Mary (Wheeler) Johnston.  Loving father of Daniel (Chaya) Johnston of Thailand and Janice (Richard) Irving of Florida.  Stepfather to Jean Wheeler (Cody Higgins) and Steven Wheeler (Dana Collins-Wheeler).  Special Grandpa to Masyn, Madyx, Holleigh and Evan.  Grandpups Basil and Noodle.  Walter was an electrical engineer as well as a certified ham radio operator.  He started working with Bell Telephone Company in 1951 inventing patents and later also worked as a draftsman.  He will be remembered for his ingenuity, sharp wit and many talents.  Arrangements by the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior.  As per Walter’s request there will not be a formal visitation or funeral service.
