Aunt Vera was a lovely, caring person. She was one of those people who just made you feel good to be around them. Always a smile and a kind word, she will always be remembered in the same fashion ... kindness personified!

Kathy, Ned, John, David and Karen,
My heart goes out to you and yours. Your mom truly was "kindness personified". I have many fond memories of her and think of her as an anchor of constancy and yes, kindness. Calm and perceptive, there was a grace about her that I seldom see in this world. In the neighbourhood or at church, she was one of the women I truly admired and I'm grateful for having her example in my sphere growing up. What a gem you had in a mother. I hope that sweet memories and the support of one another help you through this time of sorrow and remembrance.

We were just talking about her the other day, wondering how she was doing. We used to see her at the mall. The last time we saw her there she was going to get her fingernails trimmed. It was always so nice to sit and have a chat.
I remember when I had lunch with Murph at ADHS and he always referred to her as "his bride"
Our condolences to all of the McIntyre family.

To all the McIntyre Family......
I am so sorry to hear you have lost your mom. Vera was the kindest most gracious lady...you were so lucky to have her as a mother! When I would meet Vera on the street she always had a smile and was genuinely interested when asking about my family. After losing my own mother and mother-in-law Joan, so young, her empathy and interest was always appreciated. She was a gentle soul and I will remember her with fondness.

My heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers to the entire MacIntyre Family as you grieve the loss of your mom. It was my honor on ocassion, to provide care for this very special woman. Ever so gentle, kind and compassionate, Vera was always more interested in knowing how those of us who were caring for her were doing than she was about herself. Her welcoming smile and heartfelt appreciation for your presence made it a joy to be with and care for her.
Sleep well sweet Vera, the angels are singing and rejoicing over you.

I would like to extend our sincere condolences to Kathy, Ned, John, David, Karen and families. Long time neighbours, your mom was a very special lady. Karen and I always made sure to stop in and say hi to your mom when I was back East to see our mom in Ottawa. She was always so happy to see us. We all made an appearance...Karen, Russ, and I and our children...after burying Mom in August 2017. Vera welcomed us all with all the love she had. Your mom was often in my thoughts. From Randy and I (Lana) and our girls Lauren and Heather (who remember Vera as well)....our deepest condolences on your loss.
