Condolences to the families on the passing of a lovely lady. Our families had shared time when Jack was driving a bus, visits to "Willa's Villa" for a swim and ice cream and when time permitted us to be together in other social times. May Berna rest in peace.

Our deepest condolences to the family. Berna was truly a warm and genuine person. Both my son and daughter had the good fortune to have Berna as their teacher in Junior Kindergarten at Torbolton Public School. She had a heart of gold and loved every pupil who passed through her class. One year she asked me to make the felt characters for the felt board to use while she read stories to the children, it was a lot of fun and I think they got a lot of use throughout the years. Berna you will be greatly missed.

Berna squeezed in two great families in her short time on Earth. The Potters matured her so she could find a great husband in Jackie and they had a great son in Robert. Plus two careers in teaching and feeding Ontario.
THANKS BERNA.

Dear Robert, So sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. I always enjoyed having your Mom as a supply teacher in our class. She was a no nonsense kind of teacher, yet kind and approachable. She showed respect to her students and in turn the respect was reciprocated. As an adult pursuing a career in the education field, she always shared teaching stories and invited me to visit her kindergarten classroom. I will miss our chats at church where she always asked about my classroom and my family. With respect and sympathy, Tammy Rebertz (Gibson)

Dear Robert and Janey.......I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. In all of my school years she was truly one of my favourite teachers......in latter years when I would run into her, she and I would joke about whether or not "I was her favourite student"!! I had her in Grade 4 and I think that is the year she had you, Robert. She was a good teacher and an amazing member of her community for many years. She will be missed by many! Please accept my sincere sympathy

Great lady always treated everybody well. From my time growing up coming to Ottawa Valley at the farm she was always a big welcome when we came. Always fed well at the farm and a lot of good memories growing up. Gone but never forgotten.

Robert - We have so many memories of you all. We met when your mom and I became roommates in Ottawa. She was such a help and encouragement to a young me. Our friendship continued with our yearly beef purchases. To this day we often say "This steak is not as good as Berna & Jackie's beef! Over the years we would sometimes get together and our visits were always fun filled.
Your mom will be missed. Sending our sympathy to you. Marilyn & Dick Provost

Berna was an amazing and wonderful lady. Berna welcomed me into the Lorne Sutherland Women's Institute some 20 years ago.Her memory and numerous connections were great. Berna was always interested in our families current activities, including sharing photos of our sons recent wedding. Berna was the shopper extra ordinaire and would stock up on behalf of the WI and her church regularly anticipating future events. She never missed a sale. This is a photo of Berna accepting her certificate for 45 years of volunteering with Lorne Sutherland Women's Institute (2018) from our current president. Berna we miss you and love you. Hope you and Jack enjoyed your reunion. God Bless
