Obituary of Vera Brydges

(nee Haybecker) August 24, 1935-November 30, 2020 With heavy hearts we announce that Vera passed away at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital, Monday afternoon, November 30, 2020. Vera Leona Brydges of Arnprior, a loving mother and grandmother, at the age of 85. Dear wife of the late Manford Brydges (2009). Daughter of the late John William Frank and Dolly (nee Robillard) Haybecker. Dear mother of Elaine Ellis (Todd) of Ottawa and David Brydges (Linda) of Arnprior. Precious Granny to her only grandson Mitchell Brydges. Vera was predeceased by sisters Reta and Dorothy Korolew (Paul) and brothers John, James, Fred, Walter (Dorothy) and Bill (late Nancy). Special friend to Eric Obst. Vera enjoyed hunting, fishing and of course having a chat with a dear friend or anyone she just met. Vera could often be found working alongside her husband Manford; wherever she was, he was there too, they were a great team. She will be forever missed by everyone she knew and is happy to be reunited with her beloved partner Manny. Rest in peace Vera. Vera’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held Friday December 4, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Funeral Service will be conducted Saturday December 5, 2020 in the Boyce Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Cathy McCaig officiating. Interment Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery. In memory of Vera, a donation may be made to the Arnprior and District Humane Society. As per the restrictions regarding COVID-19, a limited amount of people are permitted at the funeral home at one time. Face Masks/Coverings are required.
