To the Pearce family - please accept our thoughts, prayers and deep, fond memories of Lois. It was very meaningful to be able to attend her Celebration of Life Service at St. Andrew’s United Church in White Lake today. Listening to the eulogy and reflections of her life brought smiles to my face. Her amazing lemon meringue pies still are the best I have ever had! Remembering the banter between Dad and Lois during the Hunt and the banquet makes me chuckle to this day. Even now, the bag everyone uses on the deer hunt comes with the understanding that it had to last every day of the Hunt, and couldn’t be discarded till the very last day . . .
Life is a journey and we were all blessed with Lois and Bob being such a memorable part of it!

Wonderful memories come to mind when thinking of our summers past at White Lake. I took mom back a couple of years ago, before she passed, to see the place and she really enjoyed seeing it again and reminiscing about the great summers we had spent there as a family....

I just heard of Lois’s passing into glory....I offer you Susan, Rob and David my condolences. It was with trepidation that I stepped into your mom’s shoes at Pickerel Bay in 1989. Bob and Lois would come out every Tuesday during the season to have breakfast....we would bend their ear and share stories and share the latest news of the wonderful customers. We also shared our faith with each other....such pleasant memories. Peggy Hirst

On behalf of the entire Augustus family.
Dearest Susan, Rob, David and family.
Please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of your mother.
I have many, many, many fond memories of your mom and entire family growing up at Pickerel Bay.
She always has a beautiful smile and kind words to share whenever we met. She smiled with her eyes.
She constantly reminded me to stop calling her Mrs. Pearce.
She would say, "it's just Lois"
May the fond memories of your mother help you through this difficult time.
What the Caterpillar calls the end if the world, our maker calls a new beginning.
Rest in peace Mrs. Peace. (Lois). Be sure to give my mom and Dad a big hug.
Kevin, Debbie and the rest of the Augustus family.

We so cherish the many fond memories of Lois from when we spent every summer at Pickerel Bay Lodge. She was a loving and supportive wife to Bob and a wonderful mother to her four children. After Lois and Bob retired, we continued to visit them in White Lake, where we spent many happy hours reminiscing. It was a highlight for us.
Lois will be remembered as a second mother to us and will forever remain in our hearts. We shall miss her.
Valerie and Linda

To the Pearce family,
On behalf of the Joyce family ( Stan and Doris , Eric , Kim , Lynn and Elayne ) I would like to offer our deepest sympathies on the loss of Lois. I have very fond memories of Lois and Bob at Pickeral Bay.. They were dear friends to my parents and the family.. Lois always made sure that Mom had a butterscotch pie for her birthday .. Many stories and lots of laughs flood my thoughts when I think of those times at the Lake.. Lois was a kind , gentle and very special lady and it was our pleasure to have been considered as her friend. May your joyous memories help you all through this difficult time . Memory Eternal as Lois is reunited with Bob and Barb .
