Lee, Dorothy and I send you condolences on Ron's death. I'm sorry now that I didn't make an effort to meet with him since our time at AMDH. Ron was a great help to me in my early years with the hospital. I remember fondly meeting with him and Kevin MacDonald in Ron's office prior to the monthly Finance Committee meetings. Little did I know that this would lead to me becoming Chair a few years later. I'm writing now belatedly to confirm what you already know that Ron made a significant contribution to the Arnprior Hospital and was a stabilizing influence for many, many years. On another note, I do have a piece of Ron's history in my possession. I purchased a pair of his dad's old snow shoes from Ron himself in the early 2000's. Time passes and one by one the people in our past pass away. I think of Bill Holmes, a good friend and former colleague of Ron's - now both gone. My best regards to you and family at this sad time. harold

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. We always thought Ron looked so much like Ray, and my father Adam. Ron always had a smile on his face and loved to hear what the rest of the family was up to.
We are all sad to close the book that was Ron`s life, but your memories of him will be of comfort to you in the days and weeks to come.
God bless and take care of each other. Wish we could be there....

I am really saddened to hear of Ron’s passing. I knew him during my time QCH. I found Ron to be a visionary leader who always put the patient and community first as Arnprior and QCH worked together. On a personal level he was for me a great teacher and role model of what a good Hospital leader should be.

You go through life meeting people along the way with some staying closer than others, I met Ron only about 10 years ago after I was invited to be part of Ron’s yearly trout fishing excursion that my brother in-law Brian did with Ron at his cottage with Jim and Mike (The Brothers). Being a bass fisherman by heart I thought hmm trout ok I will give it a try. Let me just say that Ron made me feel a part of the group right away, his easy going demeaner, his love for the outdoors and the love for his family was evident on my first trip.
The trout trips where the highlight of my year knowing that I would be spending time with Ron and this great group of guys. The thing I will miss the most is Ron’s total excitement of catching a fish and the big smile afterwards.
Lee, Tammy, Ethan and Troy it was a pleasure to get to know your father and grand father, it is an honor to be considered a brother.
Kim and I are heart broken that he has been taken from you too soon but know that he has left a lasting impression in lives the people he has touched. Time heals and memories will last for ever.

I am so very sorry to hear of Ron's passing. It was my absolute pleasure to work with Ron at Galilee for three years. He was such a kind and gracious person and was so good to me as I was figuring out my role. I honestly couldn't have done the job without him. I remember well Ron and Lee hosting Christmas parties and hearing stories about adventures with his grandson. My deepest sympathies to Lee and your family, who were clearly his whole world. May you be comforted by the love of family and friends and the eternal light of Ron's spirit. Blessings.

I am so saddended to hear of the passing of Ron. My sincerest condolences to Lee and his entire family. Ron's light shone far beyond his home in Braeside and the communities to which he belonged in a range of ways. I remember his quiet demeanor, his generous and humble advice (only given when requested), and his wonderful smile. He is now fully in the embrace of God's love -- an example of a life lived through self-giving sacrificial love; an example to us all.

What a wonderful man. It is true we did not work for him, but with him. That was the culture. With Ron, we felt like a family working together ...working hard and feeling the love with each other. The culture of looking after each other’s fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers. And so you gave your best, as everyone did. Those were the golden years. Ron was and is, indeed a light of inspiration for us all. Here is a photo from almost three years ago, taken when Ron, Karen Townley, Patti McLean & I had lunch together. A lovely kind generous man.
