July 13th, 1932—July 1st, 2021 Jean went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Thursday morning July 1st, 2021. We announce that our beloved family Matriarch passed away at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital surrounded by the love of her family. Jean Blakely MacLean (nee Thomlison) of Braeside, Ontario at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Harvey “Hammie” MacLean (2009). Jean will be missed by her children Robert MacLean (Jo-Ann), Lenore Whelan and Linda (Raymond) Lacroix, all of Arnprior. Deeply cherished grandmother of Lori (Kirk) Cavanagh, Jeff Lacroix (Crystal), Christopher McNaughton, Christie Cox (Jason), Sarah Gardiner (James), Crystal MacLean (Dani), Alana (Graydon), Shanni, Brooke and Jordi Reid. Great-grandmother of Blakelee, Laughlin, William, Anthony, Victoria, Jacob, July and Chloe. The last surviving member of her family, Jean was predeceased by her parents Norman and Ethel (Campbell) Thomlison and siblings, Len Thomlison (late Hazel), Mac Thomlison, Mary Sweet (Carl), Norman Thomlison (late Gloria), Ella May (late Clarence), Carmen, Marion and Sydney. Missed by many nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law of Peter MacLean (late Judy) of Arnprior. Always a woman of deep faith, Jean followed a call to service after a career with Campbell Insurance and worked as church Secretary as well as served with the Lady’s Guild at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Arnprior. For many years she served the church and congregation with love and devotion. She was a friend to all. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Fannon and the staff at the inpatient unit at the Arnprior Hospital and to Kerri Laventure for her comforting gift of friendship in our time of need. Jean’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where funeral service will be held Tuesday July 6th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Sand Point Public Cemetery. In memory of Jean’s prayers for all children, a donation may be made to CHEO or to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. "In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct thy paths" Proverbs 3:6. Due to COVID restrictions, a limited number of people are permitted at the funeral home, and cemetery at any given time. Facemasks/coverings and social distancing measures are required at the funeral home and cemetery.
