Dear Nancy, I was so sad to hear of Doug’s passing. For nearly 25 years I’ve been doing work around Rhoddys Bay; either at your home or another place in the neighbourhood. No matter where I worked, I would often find my way to your back deck or front porch enjoying a beer with you and Doug; or helping myself to the backyard fridge when nobody was home (because Doug always said help myself). I’ll continue to stop in Nancy when I’m working in the neighbourhood, we can enjoy a beer together and raise our glasses to Doug … he was a gem! Chris Toner

So very sorry for your loss. Doug will be greatly missed. He had a tremendous love of family and a loyalty of friends. An exceptional talent for numbers he enjoyed helping people at income tax time. He made it all look so easy.
A good friend. A caring gentleman.

We have such fond memories of Doug's kind gestures as he sat upon his porch looking over the river, puttering in his gardens, and having afternoon cocktails under the umbrella on the beach with dear friends. Our sincerest condolences to Nancy and Jason. May Doug rest in peace...
