It comes with great sadness and a heavy heart to find out that Dennis passed so suddenly last October. My heart is shattered beyond words. Dennis and I were not only friends, but he was my confidant, my mentor and my husband. Even though our marriage didn’t last, we maintained to stay in touch and were there for each other, always. I wanted to wish you a very happy birthday as you and I always did. I wish you are in the most wonderful place you deserve. You will be in my heart for eternity.

I had the honor of working with Dennis for many years at Atlas Polar. Like many of the posts not only was Dennis a co-worker he was a friend. We stayed in touch over the years and he always asked how I was doing first before anything else and I know he meant it. I will think of Dennis often with a smile and a warm heart for that is what he brought to so many. May his family find peace as they move forward knowing that Dennis will always be by their side or slightly ahead leading the way.
Your friend,
Jason Kinrade

Dennis has been with Atlas Polar for so many years, that most of us took his talents for granted. He had great technical ability. He had a true ability to organize and resolve difficult situations. He enjoyed taking care of problems from which most of us would shy away.
He had a good sense of humor, and once on a given path, followed it with determination.
Over the years Dennis worked with the Atlas Polar team and Hiab people in Canada and around the world. We have received condolences to his family from his many friends and business acquaintances everywhere. A number of these people are retired, which is a clear indication of the impression Dennis left with everyone.
One of his Swedish friends commented that Dennis had Atlas Polar/Hiab written on his forehead, and it was true. Dennis loved his work, and the relationships that were part of it. He was just plain good at everything he did.
Dennis has said many times, that Atlas Polar has been a second family for him. All of us in that second family have a deep sense of loss, and he will be missed by everyone here.
Our condolences to Dennis's family and friends, we share your sense of loss.
Bob Parr for all Dennis's friends at Atlas Polar

Well, I am very saddened by the passing of Dennis Black. I got to know Dennis while working at Parts for Trucks, Inc. 22 years ago.
.
Dennis was a great help in passing on a lot of his vast knowledge of Hiab Cranes and Multilift Hooklifts. We often spoke many times by phone through the week. During these many phone conversations, I became to know Dennis on a more personal level and we had many great conversations. Dennis' sense of humor certainly lined up with mine nicely.
.
I know that all the Atlas Polar Family will be missing Dennis as well as all the other people that he delt with at his business life. He will also be missed by many of his friends and his family.
My prayers and thoughts go out to all those people who have been dealing with the sudden passing of Dennis Black, a person I considered a friend rather than a business partner.
.
Rest in peace Dennis.

To Dennis’ family, Gail and Kenneth
Sincere sympathy is extended to your families. Growing up in White Lake meant everyone knew each other and every trip to Black’s Store or the village school, meant that you would most likely meet up with Dennis. Although we often lose touch - we still remember.
May he rest easy
God Bless
