Obituary of Mary LeRoy
Mary Margaret LeRoy
(nee Mills)
June 5, 1923 – December 1, 2022
Mary passed away peacefully at the Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior on Thursday December, 1st, 2022 at the age of 99 with family by her side in her last days. She is reunited with her late husband George Robert Keith (Bob) LeRoy (1923-1999). Loving mother of Susan Stewart (Mike) of California, Joan Wright (Peter) of New York and Linda Hunt (Byron) of Nebraska. Cherished grandmother of Joan Ferrin-Pann (Neal Pann), David Ferrin (Cori Crooks), Mark Weaver (Christine), Nicholas Waldow (Teresa), Jessica Plavicki (Adam Cargin), Victoria Brophy (Denis), and Gemene Wright. Beloved great-grandmother of Porter, Miles, Clementine, Archer, Scarlett, John, Katie, Sarah, Andy, Lennon (Kat), Arlo, Zeke, Abby, Jordan and Raeghan. Lovingly remembered by her nephews Jim LeRoy (Cindy) and Allen LeRoy (Penny). Predeceased by brother-in-law John Clifford LeRoy (late Roberta). She was the only child of the late Dr. John Dugald and Mary Belle, R.N. (McKinnon) Mills. Born in Toronto, Mary graduated from Havergal College and attended McMaster University. She and her husband Bob lived in the U.S. for many years and travelled all over the world. In 1984, they retired to her mother’s hometown of Braeside. All her life she enjoyed spending summers at her beloved cottage in Rhoddy’s Bay. Resting at the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street where friends may pay their respects on Thursday December 8, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Friday. The funeral service will be conducted Friday December 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Boyce Chapel. Interment Sand Point Public Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Mary, please consider donating to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation or the Arnprior and District Humane Society.
