Obituary of Garnet Booth

May 8, 1927-February 14, 2023 It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Garnet ‘Garnie’ Booth, of Braeside Ontario on February 14th, 2023, at the age of 95 years. Garnet was a wonderful devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Muriel (Riley) Booth; children, Jill Booth (Larry Stashick) and Robert Booth; grandchildren, Sarah (Austin) Abraham, Adrian Seeley (Jacquelyn Holland). Beloved ‘Poppy’ will be deeply missed by his great-grandchildren, Arabella and Preston Abraham. Brother-in-law to Kaye (late Grant) Malloch, Joy (late Bill) Horner, Graham (late Edythe) Riley and Jimmy (late Pansy) McGonigal among numerous other family members and friends. Garnet was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Lavina (Hobbs) Booth; siblings, Dorothy (late Steene) Caldwell, Violet (late Paul) Bertrand, Lavina (late John) Carmichael, Norman (late Fern) Booth, Carl Booth. Predeceased by brother-in-law Emmerson (late Doris) Riley and Larry Riley. Predeceased by sister-in-law Rosetta Riley. A visitation will be held at the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd, 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior Saturday February 18th, 2023 from 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m. A Funeral Service in memory of Garnet will follow at 2:00 p.m. A Luncheon will follow at the Boyce Reception Centre. Private family interment at a later date. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Arnprior District Memorial Hospital, Renfrew Victoria Hospital and Grove Park Lodge for their care and compassion.
