Obituary of Beverley Buffam

(nee Scobie)

February 10, 1931 – March 5, 2024

It is with sadness that we announce that Beverley Jane Buffam of Arnprior, passed away peacefully at Granite Ridge in Stittsville, Ontario on Tuesday March 5, 2024 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late George Buffam. (2001). Loving mother of Scott Buffam (Julie), Bruce Buffam (Andrea) and Carolyn Hewitt (John). Cherished grandmother of Allison (David), Laura, Brittany, Erica, John (Josie) and Jennifer (Dave) and great-grandmother of Zoe and Arlo. Dear sister of Leslie Nelson (late Bruce), Judy Montgomery (late Don) and John Scobie (late Barbara). Missed by many nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Percy and Irma (Sawyer) Scobie. Throughout her life, Beverley exemplified dedication and service. She worked diligently at Scotiabank and ran Buff’s Variety at 123 First Avenue in Arnprior. Additionally, she devoted over 15 years to volunteering with the Arnprior Hospital Auxiliary, where she brightened the lives of many in the gift shop. Beyond her professional commitments, Beverley found joy in life's simple pleasures. She cherished time spent at the cottage, tending to her garden, and taking leisurely walks around town. Beverley’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. A Celebration of Beverley’s Life will be held at a later date. In memory of Beverley a donation may be made to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation.
