Obituary of Norma Hewitt

Norma Frances Hewitt (nee Lyng)

March 16, 1944 - April 18, 2024

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday April 18, 2024 at the age of 80 at Hospice Renfrew. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 59 years John Peter Hewitt. She was a devoted mother to David (Monique), Debbie Joritsma (Steve) and Kerri Kucharik (James).  As well as her grandchildren Kaitlyn Godin (Chad), Jesse (Carrie), Nathan, Karleigh (Carter) and her great grandchildren Graden, Jackson and baby Godin who is on the way. She also leaves behind her sister Eleanor Griffiths, sister-in-law Sandra O’Connell (late Ed), brother-in-law Steven (Patricia) Hewitt, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pre-deceased by her parents Leonard & Edith Lyng. As well as her brothers James (late Sandra), Brian (late Helen) and sisters Patricia Isabelle, Karen Lyng-McClelland. The family would like to thank Dr. Padeanu and Bayshore Home-Care for their support and care. Special thanks to nurse Amanda. We would also like to thank Hospice Renfrew for caring for her in her final days. Norma's arrangments have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Clare’s Roman Catholic Church (4009 Dwyer Hill Rd, Dwyer Hill) on Thursday April 25, 2024 at 12:00 noon. Following Mass will be a reception at St. Clare Hall. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors at Home Program Inc. or Hospice Renfrew.
