Deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of Mark. Although, never having the pleasure of meeting Mark face-to-face, we shared a common hobby and interest in the Atari 7800, brought together under the AtariAge website, where he went by the screen name of DracIsBack. A forum thread was posted for individuals to be informed of his passing:

Mark was a valued member of the community in which he was a part of for over 17 years. He was and will continue to always be thought of in a fond manner. Several community members have shared their experiences with and sentiments for Mark in the thread link posted above.
May you all find peace and comfort during this difficult time.

I was a high school classmate of Mark's. Although we ran in different circles, we'd cross paths now and again.
Even though I'd not seen Mark for over 20 years, I always remembered him as a really nice guy that I wish I'd known better. There aren't a lot of people I can think of who left such a positive impression on those around him.
My most sincere condolences to all of Mark's friends and loved ones.

I first met Mark when I joined Corel and was immediately struck by his enthusiasm, positivity and sense of humor. We became part of the same team, and together moved to Minnesota. What an experience! From there we worked closely, traveled to Taipei and had many laughs. Mark and I stayed in touch and shared many more career chats over the years and I’m so grateful for that. He’d be amazed by the number of people he touched and who respected him so greatly. He was one of the best human beings out there. My heart goes out to Winnie, his mother and all his family. I will miss you Marky Mark.

Mark was a very special person who will be missed greatly by friends, family, and coworkers. He stood out because of how open his heart was to everyone he met. He was extremely kind, smart, humble, and a great connector. I feel very blessed that he stayed in touch so frequently throughout the last 10 years. He won’t be forgotten.

Dear Winnie and family: I worked with Mark at Corel many years ago and still remember him as a great co-worker and friend. I am so sad to hear about Mark's passing. I admired his strength, courage and humour through this battle with cancer but mostly I remember his joy in the small things in life. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Mark was such a lovely soul. He and I worked for years together at Corel and was a joy to see every day. My heart breaks thinking of his wonderful spirit and how I'll not get to see his smile again. When I think back to "those days" Mark is one of my best memories. He's changed the lives of many and I'm sure he'll be missed by all. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Mark was a dear university friend, always ready to lend support and smiles. He came to a house party I held that I worried no one would come to - that's the kind of friend he was. We were in several psychology classes together (including Women's Psychology! :), and he even helped me find housemates. An all-around wonderful, generous, intelligent person. My condolences to all of Mark's family and loved ones.

Mark was a good friend to my late sister Annie when they attended Earl of March High School together. I remember him as an intelligent, compassionate and energetic young man, who through my sister’s illnesses was a stalwart supporter. I’m glad that he received that love and support back during his illness. I’m truly sorry that he’s gone and I hope that your no doubt wonderful memories of your time with him will comfort you.
