Obituary of Maxine Schultz
Maxine Alberta Schultz
(nee Dixon)
September 25, 1939 – May 15, 2024
With sadness we announce that Maxine (Max) slipped away peacefully at 84 years old on Wednesday May 15, 2024 at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family and their love.
Beloved wife of Bert Schultz for 60 years. Awesome mother of Lorna-Rae Budge (Brett) and Brent Schultz (Sheila). Most cherished grandmother of Shane Budge (Paula), Grant Budge, Amelia Schultz (Carson), Spencer Schultz and sister-in-law of Orma Gorr. She will be remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews.
She was met at the pearly gates by her parents Edward and Gertrude (Caldwell) Dixon and her dearest sister Joyce McCrea (Robert), and will be playing cards with Margaret Fagan (Bernie), Harold Schultz (Mary), Ken Schultz (Jean), Grace Whiteacre (Bob), Eldon Schultz (Muriel) and Ron Gorr.
Maxine was born in Limestone Siding, New Brunswick and moved to Pembroke with her family as a teenager. She met Bert, fell in love, married and made their home in Pembroke. Maxine carried herself with dignity and pride showing love and kindness to everyone. She dedicated over 30 years of her life to Bell Canada before retiring. At that time they moved to Kanata to be closer to their grandchildren. Her family was her life, especially her grandchildren who brought her immense happiness. Last year they moved to Island View Retirement residence in Arnprior. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Thank you to the staff at Island View for their care and support for Maxine over the past year. A special thank you to the staff at the Arnprior Hospital for the care provided to Maxine and family.
